To test that this page (and default.htm) are really accessible offline via Google Gears:
(1). Set work browser to work offline,
(2). Clear the cache from your browser,
(3) optional. Exit the browser and re-open it, and
(4). In a new browser tab, explicitly type in the URL you want to see offline: either default.htm or go_offline.htm.
